FDRD - Friends of the Dillon Ranger District, a Colorado Nonprofit Corporation
10/11/2008 - MakeADifference Service Project
MEET LOCATION: 8AM@Summit Stage Bus Barns (County Commons), FRISCO, CO

Join hundreds of citizens from around Summit County to partake in
an exciting day of community service! Make A Difference Day is a
national day of giving back hosted locally by Summit Prevention
Alliance each October. Over 400 volunteers mobilize to provide
work at over 30 sites in Summit County. Volunteer service ranges
from building and maintaining trails, to painting a building, to
cleaning computers and classrooms. Make A Difference Day is a
great opportunity to be active in our community and to meet new
people.

Get free stuff! MDDAY 2007 provided a t-shirt, light breakfast,
hot drinks and bottled water for each participant. In addition,
all volunteers were invited back to the Bus Barns for entertainment
and a free BBQ sponsored by the Summit County Restaurant Association
and Arapahoe Cafe.

Project Descriptions - FDRD requests volunteers for approximately
4 hours. Volunteers should be informed to dress for a day outdoors -
bring water, work gloves, layered clothing including long pants,
long sleeved shirt, sturdy boots, sunglasses, sun hat, sunscreen,
and insect repellent, and lots of enthusiasm!
