WORK DESCRIPTION & LOCATION: Help build rock waterbar drainage structures to
control erosion on USFS land just above Rainbow Lake near Frisco where there is quite a network
of trails.
MEET TIME & DESCRIPTION: Meet 8:30am at the Summit County Community Center, located in the County Commons near Frisco, one traffic signal south of main street off of CO HWY 9. DRESS: Dress in layers for a day outdoors. Bring water, work gloves, long pants, long shirt, sturdy boots, sunglasses, sun hat, rain gear, insect repellent, and sunscreen. SCHEDULE: 8:30AM to 9:00AM - morning coffee & bagels will be provided during a formal registration signup and safety review. 9:00AM to 1:00PM - work site. Erosion control and closure of two redundant, worn-out trails to rainbow lake from the miners creek area. After 1:00PM - Snacks and beverages will be provided at the end of workday tailgate party (around 1-ish).
