FRIENDS OF THE DILLON RANGER DISTRICT ANNOUNCE STRATEGIC PLAN DOCUMENT PUBLISHED

SILVERTHORNE, Colorado. August 7, 2007---
FDRD Friends of the Dillon Ranger District today published its strategic plan
for 2006 to 2008. Funded by a grant from the National Forest Foundation, this 3
year plan based on a 5 year vision formalizes the direction of FDRD operations.
Facilitated by Heather Bergman of The Keystone Center, the FDRD board, members,
and interested parties laid the foundation beginning in September 2005, which
was then presented to the Advisory Board at our March 6, 2006 Board of
Directors meeting. The plan was then presented to the community for feedback at
our March 27, 2006 Annual Meeting and implemented in April 2006.
